Michael Lyons

Michael Lyons, CA, CFA founded Lyons Asset Management after thirteen years in the brokerage industry in order to provide clients with discretionary portfolio management services. Mike graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with a B. Comm. (Hons.) in 1985 and attained his Chartered Accountant’s designation through Clarkson Gordon in 1988. From 1988 to 1992, Mike worked in various roles at the Bank of Bermuda in Hamilton, Bermuda, during which time he became a CFA charterholder. From 1992 to 2005, Mike was a Registered Representative with major Canadian investment firms. Since April of 2005, Mike has been Chief Investment Officer for Lyons Asset Management, serving as the primary investment officer responsible for management of the Lyons Asset Management portfolios. Mike has written and edited a regular investment newsletter since 1988. Excerpts have appeared in The Royal Gazette in Bermuda, The Gartman Letter, John Mauldin’s 2000 Wave newsletter and Barron’s.
